FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. HOW MANY LOYALTY POINTS WILL I EARN ON MY PURCHASES?
If you spend between 0-199 AED, you will receive 0 loyalty points back. If you spend between 200-850 AED, you will receive 5% back in loyalty points. If you spend between 851-2100 AED, you will receive 7.5% back in loyalty points. If you spend 2101 AED and above, you will receive 10% back in loyalty points. Please note: You’re awarded loyalty points based upon your total basket amount excluding tax.
2. WHAT DO I DO IF I HAVE FORGOTTEN MY PIN?
Don’t panic. Just tap on “Forgot Pin” on the login page, you will be prompted to enter your mobile number, so that we can send you an OTP.
3. DO MY LOYALTY POINTS HAVE AN EXPIRY DATE?
Yes they do. As of 1 April 2021 all Barracuda loyalty reward points earned using the Barracuda App have a 1 year validity from the date of earning.
If you earn AED 10 in points on 23 August 2021. Those points, AED 10, will be valid for redemption up until the end of August 2022.
If you do not use the AED 10 by end August 2022 they will expire and be deleted from your account.
Any points earned PRIOR to 1 April 2021 will remain valid up until close of business on 31 March 2022.
View the “Track my Balance” section on the Barracuda app to see what points are expiring within the next three months.
4. AM I ABLE TO SHARE MY LOYALTY POINTS WITH ANOTHER PERSON?
Yes, you can gift a friend your loyalty points.
5. HOW DO I CHECK MY LOYALTY POINTS BALANCE?
Your loyalty points are displayed in your barracuda balance on your home screen.
6. HOW DO I FIND OUT HOW MANY LOYALTY POINTS I’VE EARNED PER PURCHASE?
You can find out how many points you’ve earned by viewing your transaction history in the navigation bar.
7. HOW DO I UPDATE MY ACCOUNT?
Once in the app you can review and edit your details as needed. All changes can be made under “my profile” in the navigation bar.
8. WHAT PRODUCTS ARE AVAILABLE IN STORE?
We have a standard range of products available throughout the year as well as limited time offers.
9. WHY DOES THE APP NEED TO ACCESS MY LOCATION AND CONTACTS?
Granting location access will allow us to show you where you are relative to the store. Granting contact access will allow you to share, gift and refer the app to your contacts.
10. IF I GIFT A FRIEND THAT DOES NOT HAVE THE APP, HOW LONG WILL YOU HOLD THE GIFTED AMOUNT FOR?
Should you gift a friend that does not have the Barracuda app. They have a 6-month period to download the app in order to receive the gifted amount. If they do not download the app within the 6-month period, the gifted amount will be lost.
11. WHAT HAPPENS IF I WANT TO CANCEL MY PURCHASE?
You can cancel a transaction before the transaction has been finalized.
Once a transaction is finalized, points earned or points redeemed are final and cannot be amended.
